AQuESTT Accountability

AQuESTT Accountability

All Nebraska public school districts and buildings were given an AQuESTT classification of Excellent, Great, Good or Needs Improvement (changed to Needs Support to Improve in 2022) in 2019. Some of our districts also received designations of Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI), Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) or Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI). Due to COVID waivers, school districts have kept the same classifications and designations until now. In mid-November 2022, the Nebraska Department of Education will release updated classifications and designations for all Nebraska public school districts and buildings.

During the month of October and early November, our leadership team has been gearing up to support ESU 10 school districts in understanding Nebraska Department of Education AQuESTT classifications and designations. On October 31, the NDE Accountability team of Dr. Vicky Munoz, Dr. Shirley Vargas, and Lane Carr, facilitated an informational session for ESU 10 administrators whose schools received initial designations. ESU 10 staff also provided resources and support to participants.

We continue to field calls from superintendents and principals to help them interpret their accountability data. Our team stands ready to assist districts in researching, planning, and implementing system and building level support.
