My name is Kelly Klanecky and I am excited to join the ESU
10 Teaching and Learning team. I joined the team at the
beginning of July as a Teaching & Learning Coordinator. Prior
to that, I taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade, was an
instructional coach, and most recently served as an elementary
principal for the last twelve years. I got my undergraduate
degree from UNL and a Masters in School Administration from
UNK.
A Nebraska native, I grew up near St. Paul. My husband, Travis, and I love
Central Nebraska and happily call it home. Our two children are both in high
school in Wood River, and we spend much of our time attending sporting and
music events. When not working, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, spending
time with my family, and storm chasing with my husband.
I am thrilled to take on this new role as a Teaching and Learning Coordinator. I
believe education is a powerful tool that opens doors and provides greater
opportunities for communities. I’m passionate about providing the best possible
education to students, those that I’ve worked with in my roles as teacher, coach,
and principal, and now as I work with schools through ESU 10.
