As I write this final board report, I find myself reflecting on all that I am thankful for over the past fourteen years. This journey has been filled with meaningful experiences that have shaped me both professionally and personally, and I carry a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities I’ve been given.
Throughout this time, I have been fortunate to grow my knowledge and expertise in ways that allowed me to better support and empower administrators and educators. Some of the most rewarding moments have come through the relationships built along the way, learning alongside teachers, partnering with administrators, collaborating with ESU 10 colleagues, and connecting with statewide partners and national presenters. Each of these experiences has left a lasting impact on me.
I am especially proud of my work in literacy. Serving on statewide committees and cadres, and working as a LETRS facilitator for Volume 1, Volume 2, and Early Childhood training, has been some of the most meaningful work of my career. Being part of efforts to strengthen literacy instruction and support educators across Nebraska has been both humbling and deeply fulfilling.
ESU 10 has been far more to me than a place of employment. It has truly felt like an extension of my family. The collegial support, the personal encouragement, and the fun-loving spirit of so many have made this an incredibly special place to work and grow. The relationships, laughter, and shared purpose are memories I will carry with me long after this chapter closes.
As I step into retirement, this is truly a bittersweet farewell. While I am excited for what lies ahead, I will deeply miss the people, the work, and the sense of purpose that has defined these years. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and for being such an important part of my journey. It has been an honor I will never forget.
