State Trooper: Schools are back in session across Nebraska and that means busses are on the move. A bus driver and a state trooper are standing in front of a yellow school bus and the state trooper's vehicle.
Bus Driver: When transporting students to and from schools, safety is our number one priority, but we need your help too. Students are entering the parked school bus while the bus driver greets them.
State Trooper: When a school bus stop arm is activated, you must stop. It doesn't matter which direction you're traveling. The only exception is for vehicles moving in the opposite direction on a divided highway. The bus comes to a stop and the school bus stop arm extends showing the red stop sign along with blinking red lights. Students begin to exit the bus and an oncoming vehicle is seen stopping as the students wait to cross the street in front of the bus.
Bus Driver: Follow the law and help keep all our students safe. The bus driver waves at the students to go ahead and cross the street as the oncoming, stopped vehicle watches the students safely cross the street in front of them.
State Trooper: Presented in partnership with the Nebraska DOT and Nebraska Broadcaster's Association. The school bus stop arm can be seen retracting back to it's initial position against the side of the bus.
