T&L March Happenings

T&L March Happenings

The month of March 2022 was a productive one for the Teaching and Learning Department. We hosted three student events at the University of Nebraska at Kearney including: Middle School Academic Quiz Bowl, High School Academic Quiz Bowl and Middle/High School Science Olympiad. We were excited to be able to host these events in person again after taking two years off due to COVID restrictions.

Our team is busy facilitating school visits with each of our 33 public school districts. Teaching and Learning Coordinators meet with district leadership teams each spring to discuss their professional learning needs for the next school year. These visits provide us the data needed to organize, facilitate and implement local and regional professional learning for schools. As of March 25, we have completed 21 out of our 33 school visits. The rest of the visits will be concluded by the end of April. We will spend time during our May 2022 department meeting reviewing the data collected.

At our March 25, department meeting, we took time to do some spring cleaning. We reviewed all of our department pages on the ESU 10 website and provided revisions to the Network Information Department. We appreciate the support of Adam Griebel, NIS Programmer Analyst, who has updated our changes to the ESU 10 website in a timely manner. We also cleaned up our shared google drive which contains department documents that pertain to all team members. Team members worked with partners to review and organize folders within our shared drive. By the end of the meeting, we accomplished our spring cleaning tasks and team members praised the time spent getting organized.
