A Message From Dr. Wheelock

A Message From Dr. Wheelock I have always loved the first day of school...the new school supplies, the shiny floors, and the smiling faces.  However what I have enjoyed the most is the stir of excitement for the new year. Soon, kindergarteners will be stepping into our schools for their very first day of school. The seniors will step into buildings for their very last first day of school. In my new role as the ESU 10 administrator, I have certainly felt welcomed as I walked into my new “classroom.” If you are new to ESU 10 or returning to ESU 10,  please know we are pleased you are a part of our team.

Just like a child is asked after the first day of school, I have been asked “What did you learn?”  Since beginning in July, I have been proudly learning about the outstanding program of services ESU10 offers:

Administration - The Connector, Summer Enrichment Experience (SEE) Camp, Grant Writing Services, and Teacher Centers located in Grand Island and Broken Bow.

Network and Information Services (NIS) - Technology Infrastructure, Helpdesk and Technical Support, Web Application and Development, E-Rate Support Service, Computer Audio-Visual Service Center, and Student Information System Support

Special Services - Special Education Supervision Cooperative, Audiology, Deaf Education, Improving Learning for Children with Disabilities (ILCD), Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Early Development Network, Extended School Year Services, Speech/Language Pathology, Psychological Cooperative, Vision Services, Vocational Transition, Assistive Technology Partnership (ATP), Planning Region Team  and Central Region Autism Spectrum  Disorders Team (CRASDT)

Teaching and Learning (T&L) - Instructional Trainings, Instructional Materials, Continuous School Improvement, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Distance Education, Technology Integration Support,  Recording Studio, Carl Perkins Career and Technical Education Consortium, HIgh Ability Learner Consortium, Every Student Succeeds Act: Title I Cooperative and Title II-A Consortium, and Title III English Learner Program

Early Learning Connection (ELC)

I am honored to work with you as our ESU 10 team continues to best meet the needs of the school districts we serve through “partnering with our customers to meet changing needs through professional expertise, training, and support.”  Our focus will continued to be centered on serving you.  Here’s to a new and exciting 2018-2019 year!
