The Teaching and Learning (T&L) Department will facilitate our annual ESU 10 public school district service
planning visits during the weeks of January 26 and February 2, 2026. These visits will be conducted through
30-minute virtual meetings with the district leadership teams from each of ESU 10’s 33 public school districts.
The meetings will be led by Amy Walters, MTSS Facilitator, the district’s T&L Lead Contact, and Teaching and
Learning Director, Denise O’Brien.
The purpose of these service planning visits is to engage in collaborative discussions regarding district
priorities and to align ESU 10 services in support of district goals for the 2026–2027 school year. Information
gathered through this process will help the Teaching and Learning Department deliver more timely, targeted,
and effective professional learning across ESU 10 districts.
Planning Process
Prior to each virtual meeting, district leadership teams are asked to complete a planning survey that includes
the following questions:
- What are your district’s continuous improvement and/or MTSS goals?
- What is your district’s Targeted Improvement Plan (TIP) goal?
- Which strategy has been identified to address the TIP goal?

What are two to three key priorities your district is currently working on or planning for during the
2026–2027 school year?
The survey also includes a comprehensive list of SMART services offered by the ESU 10 Teaching and Learning
Department. District leaders are asked to indicate the level of support needed for each service by selecting
one of the following options:
- ESU 10 on-site support (T&L staff provide support within the district)
- Attend sessions at ESU 10 (T&L staff provide workshops or trainings hosted at ESU 10)
- Do not need ESU 10 support (District manages the service independently)
- Need additional information about the service
Survey responses will guide the 30–60 minute service planning conversations with each district. During these
meetings, ESU 10 services will be intentionally aligned to district goals and priorities, and discussions will
be documented through shared notes.
Following the completion of all service planning visits, the Teaching and Learning Department will analyze the
collected data to identify key themes, trends, and areas of need. This information will be used to inform the
design of regional professional learning opportunities for ESU 10 schools. A summary of findings and next steps
will be provided to the Board in April 2026.
