Standards, Curriculum & Instructional Materials: Putting it All Together
Going beyond meeting Rule 10 requirements and making connections between standards, curriculum and instructional materials is essential for classroom teachers and leaders alike.
Workshop participants will:
-Understand Rule 10 requirements for curriculum documentation
-Apply knowledge of how standards, curriculum, and instructional materials impact classroom instruction and student outcomes
-Engage in choice breakout sessions that meet current curricular needs including, but not limited to:
-Familiarization with standards
-Creating a scope and sequence
-Alignment and auditing
-Choosing instructional materials
-Understand the pedagogy behind the why for clear learning targets and alignment to instruction
-Access online standards-aligned question banks for ELA and Math
-Collaborate with grade and content area teachers to develop and/or improve current curriculum
