K-12 NE Science Standards: Classroom Transitions and Practices

If you’re ready to take a deeper dive into the science standards join us for a day dedicated to "Science Classroom Transitions and Practices."  We will focus on using ACADEMICALLY PRODUCTIVE PHENOMENA to create a UNIT STORYLINE and 3DIMENSIONAL CLASSROOM ASSESSMENT. We will identify and create 3dimensional performance tasks and classroom summative assessments to assess student learning of the 3 dimensions.  We will continue to collaborate across district lines to create units and storylines built around phenomena.
Participants will be part of the Science Teacher Network working collaboratively to support each other, share lesson ideas and resources, and learn from colleagues. Schoology will be utilized to share resources and ask questions throughout the year.

Join us for a day of collaboration and investigation of the new science standards!
Classroom Transitions and Practices is for educators who have an understanding of the structure and organization of the 3dimensional standards and expected shifts in teaching and learning.  If you have not had the opportunity to attend a previous workshop a track will be available for you to focus on the 3dimensions, architecture of the NCCRS-Science teachers guide, and the instructional shifts for part of the day.
