Welcome to Andy Carlson
Welcome to Andy Carlson
November 01, 2018
Carol Smith
I joined the team last month and will be helping Michael with the AV/Computer hardware repairs. I recently retired from UPS’s IT department after 25 years as a hardware/software and networking technician. Before that I worked at Eakes Office Supply’s computer department for several years. I started my working career in the USAF electronic security command as an electronic technician, had to follow the family military tradition, mainly working on computers when one computer would fill the whole room. After leaving the USAF I worked with Electronic Service that used to be located in Grand Island, repairing/installing 2-way radios and repeaters for the farming community.
I have a Bachelor’s in Business Information Systems from Bellevue University of Omaha and an Electronics degree from the community College of the USAF through taking classes from Texas Community College.
After being a military brat and in the military myself living in other countries and in many US states, mainly in large communities, has made me appreciate the ethnology of Kearney Nebraska. I have lived in Kearney for the last 25 years and don’t plan on relocating anytime soon.
I’m excited to get to know all of you and for the new experiences with ESU 10.
