Alternative Assessment: From Eligibility to Instruction - ASD Training

Facilitator:  Jen Quaranta, ASD Network Regional Coordinator

This workshop is designed to bridge the gap between grade-level standards and the unique needs of students with significant disabilities. We will clarify eligibility for the alternative assessment, explore the Extended Indicators, and use instructional support documents to build accessible, high-quality lessons. Participants will leave with a clear roadmap for aligning individual student progress with state expectations, ensuring meaningful participation for every learner in the general education environment.

Audience: Certified school staff working with students who participate in alternative assessment including special education teachers, general education teachers, SLPs, school psychologists, administrators, and families
Note: the extended indicators do not start until 3rd grade but we will discuss how to meet needs of learners who are younger as well

Registration deadline July 22, 2026 or until full
Cancellations not received 2 business days in advance will be billed the workshop fee.
