EL Book Study, Session 2  


In this session, participants will complete their selected book and focus on translating a key instructional idea into a practical one-page resource for teachers. Through structured cross-book dialogue, educators will clarify their takeaway stance and consider how intentional language support can shape classroom practice and collaboration.


The book study will be held from 9am-12pm with optional work time in the afternoon until 3. No lunch will be provided.



A copy of one of the following books that will be provided by the ESU 10 Title III consortium for members:  

Growing Language and Literacy for K–8 English Learners by Andrea Honigsfeld

Growing Language and Literacy for Secondary English Learners by Andrea Honigsfeld

The SWIRL Method: Supporting Multilingual Learners as They Speak, Write, Interact, Read, and Listen by Susan B. Katz

Between Worlds: Second Language Acquisition in Changing Times by Yvonne S. Freeman and David E. Freeman

If participants are not a member they will need to purchase their own copy and notify the primary contact about the book they selected.
