This FREE one day workshop features a guest presenter from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) in Washington D.C., Kristin Thompson, program coordinator for Holocaust education. The workshop will help guide 6-12th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teachers and pre-service teachers, through the basics of teaching the Holocaust. USHMM trained educators will share rationales, strategies, and approaches for teaching about the Holocaust. Both veteran and new teachers are encouraged to attend.

Participants will receive books and other educational materials (films, posters, etc.) to take back with them to their classrooms. There is no better way to inform and educate yourself, and your students, than by learning from some of the country's best Holocaust educators.

Breakfast and lunch included.
