ESU 10 Recommended For AdvancED Education Service Agency Accreditation On January 23-25, ESU 10 hosted an AdvancED External Review Team that reviewed the system to evaluate the system’s adherence to the AdvancED Accreditation Standards and to make a recommendation for AdvancED Education Service Agency Accreditation.

The team found that ESU 10 met the requirements for accreditation and announced that it will be recommending the system for AdvancED Accreditation. Their recommendation will be reviewed and acted upon by the national AdvancED Accreditation Commission in the next few months.

To earn AdvancED Accreditation, systems must: 1) meet the AdvancED Accreditation Standards; 2) implement a continuous process of improvement; and 3) host an External Review team once every five years.

As a part of the accreditation process, a team of trained professionals from across the state and nation, reviewed ESU 10 documents and performance data; interviewed system and school stakeholders; and observed system and school practices in action. The team offered recognition of strong practices as well as areas for improvement to the system. These practices and areas of improvement will be detailed in the final written report which will be delivered to ESU 10 within 30 days. Once the report is received, more information will be provided to our stakeholders.
