Trauma Informed Schools Training

November 28, 2014
Trauma Informed Care is an approach to engaging people with histories of trauma that requires the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role that trauma has played in their lives. School personnel need education about how trauma affects students, what trauma informed care is, how to create a safe environment for all students, and ways to avoid re-traumatizing practices. Specific class room tools/strategies will be shared to help staff engage students in the learning process and support student emotional self-regulation. Trauma Informed Schools training is offered at no cost to school staff. It is designed to be a three hour training but we are flexible with the time/needs of the school.
