Summer Includes Deep Sea Expedition

August 05, 2013
Jeff Paige, Northwest High School teacher, spent two weeks of his summer working aboard the JOIDES Resolution, a research vessel that was stationed about 120 miles off the coast of Vancouver, British Columbia. JOIDES stands for Joint Oceanographic Institutions for Deep Earth Sampling.

Paige said that he found out about the opportunity to sail with the Resolution through ESU 10. He applied last November and then was notified in late January that he had been accepted. To read more about Jeff’s adventure click here for the full story from The Grand Island Independent News.
