Bob Lungrin, ESU 10 Professional Development Director, and I were talking the other day about a recent trip that he took for personal and professional development. During the trip he had the opportunity to watch the stage version of "The Lion King". I'm sure most of you have knowledge of this award winning animated Disney film classic that was first aired in 1994. The stage version has enjoyed success since 1997.
Well, as things often happen during my times of reflection, I started thinking about this film and it's resemblance to the world here at ESU 10 where we "partner with our customers to meet changing needs through professional expertise, training, and support."
Again this year, ESU 10 lost a number of valued employees who had made marvelous contributions to the established Program of Services. Their efforts for, and with, school districts were commendable. One never knows what to expect during the hiring process, but qualified, talented individuals were selected to keep the ESU 10 "cycle of life" going strong into perpetuity. It is a pleasure and an honor to work with such a talented, dedicated staff.
Does this mean we rest on our laurels? Heaven's no! The ESU 10 Continuous Improvement Process is in full swing and the four priority area committees are about to provide data and leadership to push us into a new era of excellence. Progress will be shared as this process evolves. It's very important that this organization continues to strive to meet your needs. We must continue to earn your support - and we will!
