Let Me See It:
Teaching Structure and Visuals
Using visual support with learners on the Autism Spectrum is considered an evidenced based practice by the National Clearinghouse on Autism Evidence and Practice (NCAEP). As educators, many of us develop visual structures and support to enhance our learners' understanding of their environment, expectations and routines. Teaching students how to use these supports is a critical, and often overlooked step, in the process.
In this webinar, participants will:
• review the practice of using visual supports
• identify ways to teach a student to use these supports to encourage independence and self- management.
