Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of email; word processing 
software; spreadsheet software and internet software.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the 
position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the 
minimum qualifications of the position.
Education or experience working with adult learners preferred.
Early childhood experience/knowledge preferred
Experience with oral and written translation
Work experience with diverse populations highly preferred

Language Skills
Fluent in Spanish and English


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 


State-wide
-Identify, cultivate, and recruit bilingual trainer candidates for Nebraska Department of Education 
contract trainer role.
-Assist with contracting and training of bilingual trainer candidates as needed.
-Identify professional development and resource needs of bilingual early childhood educators 
-Leads to inform policy and improve quality of early childhood education and care.
-Assist with written translation and oral Spanish interpretation as needed.
-Review training materials for cultural sensitivity as needed.
-Identify and develop collaborative relationships with state early childhood partners, including, but not 
limited to the Nebraska Department of Education’s Early Childhood Training Center.
-Participate in early childhood initiatives and committees as appropriate to ensure 
coordination/collaboration and effective use of time, resources, and funding.
-Collaborate with Early Learning Connection Coordinators and Coach Consultants to provide consistent, 
coordinated support of initiatives and early childhood educators; actively clarifying roles when needed.
-Attend state meetings as required.


Central Region (23 counties, supporting Education Service Units 9, 10, 11)
-Engage and support Communities for Kids communities, with an emphasis on communities with 
Spanish provider grant funds.
-Co Chair Early Childhood Conference for Spanish speaking early childhood educators.
-Participant on Central Region Early Childhood conference planning committees.
-Develop relationships and collaborate with Central Region partners and stakeholders.

General Responsibilities
-Regular and reliable attendance.
-Gather and track data about work activities in accordance with an identified evaluation plan.
-Engage in individual, continuous learning/professional growth and leadership development.
-Independent transportation for state and regional duties and responsibilities.
-Other duties as assigned.

Licensed Mental Health Practitioners


ESU 10 is seeking full time or part time Licensed Mental Health Practitioners. Current LMHP or LIMHP licensure/certification or the equivalent is required. Certified Master Social Worker or Licensed Psychologists are also invited to apply. Responsibilities will include providing Tier 3 one-on-one services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned students at the designated school location, assist with the development of Tier 1 SEL curriculum for all students and Tier 2 group support at member school districts including consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school, and small group supports.
