System Administrator  

Educational Service Unit 10 is seeking a System Administrator to join the technical support team at Buffalo County Courthouse.  A degree from an accredited college or university plus five years of experience is desired.

Major responsibilities will include:

  • Managing server and application systems of the courthouse and jail
  • Maintaining hardware and software in Windows and virtual environments
  • Using industry best practices for network and system security and reliability
  • Protecting data systems containing sensitive local, state and federal information
  • Monitoring systems and performing necessary maintenance to support availability
  • Being available on rotating schedule for 24x7 on-call support and 1-hour response time


Special Knowledge or Skills

  • A high degree of professionalism including the ability to communicate effectively with office staff, correction officers, appointed and elected officials
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a small support team environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and provide guidance to team members as appropriate
  • Knowledge and experience with servers, storage systems, 3rd party application support, and virtual servers
